Delivery fees are calculated at checkout, based on your location.

Please visit our returns page for all the information you need.

All UK orders include local duties and taxes. Delivery to locations outside of the UK is not inclusive of additional fees, so please check with your local authority before ordering. 

We dispatch orders Monday - Friday (excluding public holidays). Orders placed before 12pm BST for items in stock will be dispatched the same day.

If your item is a pre-order or made-to-order, please check the product description for the estimated dispatch date.

Europe Express: 2-3 working days

Yes, all our designs use freshwater pearls that have been hand harvested.

Yes, all our pieces are made with either 14k or 18k solid gold, which is stamped.

99.9% of the pearls on the market today are cultured, including ours. Wild pearls are only available in vintage jewellery and come with an extremely high cost as they are so rare.

Freshwater pearls are more durable than Akoya pearls and come in a large variety of shapes and sizes, which is why we use them in our pieces.

Solid gold jewellery is much more durable than gold-plated jewellery,
and lasts years in comparison. It is also naturally hypoallergenic which means it is very unlikely to cause any kind of reaction on your skin.

Yes, it’s perfectly fine to sleep in your La Grotta jewels.

We don’t recommend wearing our jewellery when swimming in a pool or the sea, as the salt and chlorine can damage both solid gold and pearls.

You can shower in all our La Grotta pieces so long as you use mild soap. The only exception is pieces made with silk thread, like our Cara choker.
Water droplets will weigh down the thread and could cause damage, so we don’t recommend wearing this design in the shower or when swimming.

To keep solid gold in top condition, rinse it carefully in warm soapy water and dry by wiping gently with a soft cloth.

Pearls should be put on after you have applied your perfumes or body lotions and can be wiped clean with a damp cloth when needed.

To ensure your diamonds always sparkle, we recommend having them professionally cleaned every six months.

All La Grotta jewellery is covered by
our complimentary two-year guarantee. We will repair or replace any pieces bought within this period free of charge. This does not include jewellery damaged by general wear and tear, any altered jewellery or any lost gems.

If your jewellery is damaged, please contact us with a photo of the issue and your order number.

Yes, we can source any kind of pearl shape you would like. Please get in
touch immediately after ordering via email, and we will send
you photos and videos of several shapes for you to choose from.

Yes, most of our designs are customisable. Simple email us with your request.

Please note, this usually takes between 4-6 weeks.

Yes, we can create any of the designs on our website in white gold or rose gold if you’d prefer. Please email us with your request.

Yes, we’d love to collaborate with you to create a bespoke jewellery piece. Send us your ideas via email and we’ll help to make them a reality. You’ll be a key part of the design process and we’ll send
you pictures and videos every step of the way. From the moment we source the pearls, to the hand assembly in our workshop.

We work directly with pearl farms in China and gold dealers in South
East Asia. Without any middle men, we have much smaller running costs than big name jewellery brands, so we don’t need the 10x markups that most companies do.
